The Foundation hosts a series of events to involve the public in its work and to facilitate healthy public discourses on current and topical issues. They are hosted in partnership with a range of institutions and stakeholders.

The second anniversary of Mr Mandela's passing was marked by a series of memorial events: A dialogue on his legacy was hosted at the Foundation, a memorial walk in Tshwane was organised in partnership with the Gauteng provincial government, and the production Letters from Mandela was hosted in collaboration with the Market Theatre.
